Chongqing Kaizhou District People's Hospital

Chongqing Kaizhou District People's Hospital was founded in 1940, located by the Hanfeng Lake in a wetland park, the hometown of Marshal Liu Bocheng, the God of War. It is a comprehensive Grade 3A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, rehabilitation, prevention, and healthcare, managed jointly with the Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir Area Natural Focus Disease Clinical Prevention and Research Institute, a municipal-level research institution. The hospital has a municipal-level postdoctoral research workstation and serves as a teaching hospital for Chongqing Medical University, Weifang Medical University, Hubei Minzu University, and other medical colleges, undertaking standardized training for resident physicians and nurses in Chongqing.
The hospital currently has two campuses: the main campus on Ankang Road and the branch campus on Jincheng Road, with 1,800 open beds. It is equipped with multiple 64-slice spiral CT scanners, 1.5T MRI, linear accelerators, SPECT, fully automated immuno-biochemical testing lines, DSA, femtosecond laser corneal refractive treatment machines, exoskeleton robots, and other large medical equipment worth nearly 300 million yuan. It provides medical and healthcare services for 1.7 million people in Kaizhou District and over 500,000 people in surrounding districts and counties. In 2020, it handled 891,900 patient visits, 65,600 discharges, and 46,300 surgeries. It currently has 1 municipal-level academic and technical leader (team), 1 municipal outstanding contribution expert, 1 regional academic and technical leader, 202 senior professional titles, 432 intermediate professional titles, 3 doctoral degree holders, and 156 master's degree holders. It has 31 clinical departments (41 inpatient wards), 11 medical technology departments, and 16 municipal-level and regional key disciplines. It can perform hip replacement surgery, laparoscopic left hemihepatectomy with common bile duct exploration and stone extraction, laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy, and various other endoscopic and interventional treatment techniques, as well as plastic and cosmetic surgery, and other Grade 3A hospital technical procedures.
The hospital has been awarded many honors, including National Advanced Collective in Health Units, National Top 100 County Hospitals, Chongqing May 1st Labor Award, Chongqing Advanced Unit in "Quality Nursing Services," Chongqing Outstanding Grassroots Party Organization, Chongqing Garden-Style Unit, Chongqing Ecological Civilization Demonstration Unit, and one of the first batch of Chongqing "Beautiful Hospital" Construction Demonstration Units.
