Chama Shijia was founded in the 1940s, with its tea house initially established on the old tea street of Simao under the name "Chama Zhai." It is a tea brand passed down through generations by the descendants of local horse caravans and tea makers from the Simao region of Yunnan (now Pu'er City), dedicated to the production, sales, and research of traditional Pu'er tea. In 2009, descendants of the horse caravans applied to the State Administration for Industry and Commerce for the "Chama Shijia" trademark, which was approved. In 2011, Chama Shijia Tea Co., Ltd. was established in Wuhan, known as the "Oriental Tea Port" and a hub of nine provinces, and entered the e-commerce sector. As a model practitioner actively responding to the national "Internet + Tea" action plan, Chama Shijia adheres to a brand direct-supply business model that goes from tea mountain to tea cup, omitting numerous intermediate sales links of the traditional tea market. It upholds the business philosophy of "Good quality wins the world" and insists on making good tea that consumers can afford and understand. To date, Chama Shijia has nearly 20 stores on major online platforms such as Tmall, Taobao, Suning.com, and JD.com, and has opened offline brand experience stores in many parts of the country. On "Double Eleven" in 2016, transaction volume across all platforms reached 8.5 million yuan, ranking 6th in the tea category and 3rd in the Pu'er tea category on Taobao platforms (ranking data source: Taobao Business Advisor), and it has been honored as an outstanding e-commerce tea enterprise in Hubei Province for three consecutive years. Among them, Chama Shijia's tasting-grade 357g ripe Pu'er tea has been a top-selling single product in the tea category on "Double Eleven" for two consecutive years (data source: Taobao Business Advisor). To date, it has accumulated over 1.47 million fans and users nationwide, and hundreds of tea houses, clubs, and other physical stores sell Chama Shijia products. Among them, the Chayou series tasting-grade ripe Pu'er tea has been designated by many well-known tea ceremony and tea art training institutions as professional tea for Pu'er cultural exchange and Pu'er tea training evaluation. Series products such as the Taotie series, Longyin series, Gudao series, and Cipai series are widely praised by consumers for their excellent quality and considerate service.
