OrionStar was founded in September 2016, as an intelligent service robot company invested by Cheetah Mobile.
OrionStar is dedicated to creating "truly useful" robots, with the vision of "freeing people from repetitive manual labor and making traditional business as efficient as the internet."
OrionStar was the first in the industry to propose the formula "AI + Software + Hardware + Service = Robot." At the underlying algorithm level, its self-developed full-chain AI technology covers far-field noise cancellation algorithms, intelligent speech recognition algorithms, intelligent facial recognition algorithms, indoor navigation algorithms using hybrid visual and laser recognition, and cloud-based big data algorithms; at the software level, it has built a fully self-developed navigation technology based on open-source Android, along with voice OS and the Robot OS open system; at the hardware level, it possesses a fully self-developed standardized hardware R&D system for service robots, with full-stack capabilities in machine design, structure, supply chain integration, and production; at the service level, it offers fully self-developed cloud-based brain services, including the ability to implement scenario-specific solutions with industry partners, remote control and configuration via the cloud, and nationwide service network support. OrionStar has launched a "family of intelligent service robots" including reception service robots, delivery service robots, disinfection service robots, and new retail service robots. Together with industry partners, it is building a robot ecosystem to drive the intelligent upgrading of the real economy and scenarios in the era of AI and 5G.
