Changsha Dicastal Technology Co., Ltd. is a production base invested and constructed in Changsha by CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd., located on Tengfei Road in Wangcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone. The project has a planned land area of 700 mu and a total investment of 5 billion yuan. It is planned to build an annual production capacity of 12 million wheels, 20,000 tons of KSM automotive aluminum castings, as well as high-end equipment, molds, and a southern intelligent manufacturing industrial park integrating R&D center, testing center, market service center, etc., and to build this industrial park into CITIC Dicastal's southern high-end manufacturing base, new product R&D center, and supporting service center for related industries.
CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd. is the first aluminum wheel manufacturing enterprise in mainland China invested and established by China CITIC Group Corporation in 1988. Its predecessor was Dicastal Wheel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. In October 2007, it underwent a joint-stock restructuring, and in August 2012, it was officially renamed CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd.
In terms of industry position, CITIC Dicastal has gone through five development stages: product differentiation, opening up the OEM market, group business model innovation, leapfrog development of industrial scale, and diversification and internationalization. It has become the world's largest supplier of aluminum wheels and aluminum chassis components; it ranks first in the domestic auto parts industry export volume ranking; and it ranks 71st in the global top 100 auto parts ranking.
In terms of customer resources, CITIC Dicastal has completed its global market layout with high-quality products and services, supplying supporting products to major domestic and international vehicle manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Peugeot-Citroën, Renault-Nissan, General Motors, Ford, Fiat Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Hyundai-Kia, as well as FAW, SAIC, Dongfeng, GAC, BAIC, and Changan. In Europe, more than half of automobiles have parts "made by Dicastal," demonstrating extremely strong supply capability.
In terms of R&D strength, CITIC Dicastal Engineering Technology Research Institute has completed its global R&D layout and actively conducts research on new materials and new processes. Its excellent synchronous development capability, 24-hour uninterrupted R&D design and testing, fully realize the seamless transformation from styling concepts to physical products, greatly improving productivity and providing customers with powerful integrated solutions for green lightweight aluminum wheel and aluminum component manufacturing. CITIC Dicastal ranked first in Hebei Province's 2016 patent disclosure volume ranking. Every day, a new product is launched to the market, and every day, three independent intellectual property patents are created.
