Wuhan Fifth Hospital

Wuhan Fifth Hospital was founded in 1923. The hospital currently covers an area of 21,100 square meters, with a building area of 59,500 square meters. It has 550 open beds, an average annual outpatient volume of 400,000 visits, nearly 10,000 inpatients per year, annual revenue of over 100 million yuan, and fixed assets of more than 200 million yuan. The hospital has a strong technical force and a complete range of departments. A number of specialty departments, including Cardiovascular Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Stomatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hemodialysis Center, and Tumor Treatment Center, have become key disciplines of the hospital. In 2003, it became Guangci Hospital of Wuhan University School of Medicine. In 2005, with the approval of the Wuhan Municipal Government, it became the Second Affiliated Hospital of Jianghan University. It is the only large tertiary general hospital in the Hanyang area integrating clinical medicine, scientific research, teaching, and preventive healthcare.
