Chongqing Tianzhi Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianzhi Environmental Protection") was jointly established in May 2003 by Chongqing Solid Waste Management Service Center and Zhongtian Environmental Protection Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., both affiliated with Chongqing Academy of Environmental Science (placed under the management of the Solid Waste Management Center in 2005). Its business scope includes the collection, transportation, storage, utilization and disposal of hazardous waste. It operates two hazardous waste disposal sites in Chongqing's main urban area and Changshou, Chongqing, providing strong support for the standardized disposal of hazardous waste in Chongqing.
Tianzhi Environmental Protection is one of the earliest comprehensive operators in China specializing in hazardous waste collection, storage, utilization and disposal activities. It operates two hazardous waste disposal sites in Chongqing's main urban area and Changshou, Chongqing, disposing of 46 categories of hazardous waste including HW02-HW09, HW11-HW28 and HW30-HW49 listed in the National Catalogue of Hazardous Wastes, with a designed disposal capacity of 64,000 tons per year. In 2016, the stable operation days of its hazardous waste disposal facilities exceeded 320 days. In 2017, the incineration system of the Changshou disposal site achieved a single continuous operation of more than 180 days, leading the domestic hazardous waste disposal industry and reaching the operational level of the GSB hazardous waste disposal site in Bavaria, Germany, built by Lurgi Lentjes. Its single and annual cumulative operating time is longer than that of SUEZ's Shanghai Chemical Industry Park Shengda Waste Disposal Center, leading the highest level of production and operation among similar domestic facilities, and it was awarded the title of "Annual Benchmark Enterprise for Comprehensive Hazardous Waste Treatment."
