福州职业技术学院是经福建省人民政府批准成立、教育部备案的全日制普通高等职业学校，由福州市人民政府举办。学校由 1958 年成立的福州业余大学、1959 年成立的福州工人业余大学和成立于 1979 年的福州广播电视大学组建而成，2004 年 1 月福州商业学校正式并入。2019 年 12 月，被教育部、财政部列入第三类高水平专业群建设单位（B 档）。学校坐落于福州市大学城，占地面积广阔，设有多个二级学院，开设 36 个招生专业。学校以培养高素质技术技能人才为目标，注重实践教学和校企合作，与多家企业建立了合作关系，为学生提供了丰富的实习和就业机会。
