Hunan Shuopu New Material Co., Ltd. is an emerging company engaged in the production and sales of lithium battery separators. The company was established in 2017, introducing complete sets of advanced wet-process lithium battery separator production lines from South Korea and Japan, and hiring lithium battery separator experts and technical personnel from South Korea and Japan at high salaries to oversee the entire production process and procedures, using raw material suppliers of the same quality as South Korean and Japanese separator manufacturers, so as to ensure the production of top-quality lithium battery separator products, thereby enhancing the overall level of domestic separator production technology. Phase I is planned to cover 240 mu, building 8 wet-process separator production lines and 20 separator coating production lines. Phase II is planned to cover 300 mu, adding 12 wet-process separator production lines and 20 separator coating production lines. Professional and technical personnel from Japan and South Korea account for more than 20% of the company's total technical personnel. After Phase II is officially put into production, the company's annual output of lithium-ion battery separators will be 1 billion square meters, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan and 500 employees.
