Suzhou Siemens Electrical Apparatus Co., Ltd. was established in June 1994 with a registered capital of EUR 40.203 million. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. The company currently employs about 2,000 people, including those in Suzhou, Tiantai (Zhejiang), and Shanghai branches.

APT, founded in 1993, is a leading brand of low-voltage control electrical apparatus. The brand name originates from the initials of three English words: Advanced (A), Perfect (P), and Top (T), symbolizing advanced, perfect, and outstanding quality.

In August 2008, Siemens acquired the APT brand and assets, making APT a Siemens-affiliated company. After joining Siemens, APT has continued to focus on the development and production of push buttons, indicator lights, changeover switches, relays, control boxes, current transformers, limit switches, and other important low-voltage products.

Siemens will leverage its international experience to strengthen APT's quality management and business development, and relying on advanced technology and R&D resources, enable the APT brand to better serve Chinese customers.

Quality is the key to our success. Therefore, we implemented the ISO9002 quality management system early on and obtained the ISO9002 certificate from TUV Rheinland in November 1998. All product series have obtained CE and CCC certifications. In November 2003, the company obtained the ISO14000 environmental management system certificate.
