Kunming Airport Investment Development Group Co., Ltd. is a wholly state-owned enterprise funded and directly managed by Yunnan Dianzhong New Area. It is an important investment and financing entity for deepening the reform of the government investment and financing system, promoting urban development and construction, accelerating the development and operation of urban public economic resources, and guiding and fostering industries in Dianzhong New Area. The company has 7 internal departments and wholly-owned subsidiaries including Airport Real Estate, Airport Investment Construction Management, Airport Asset Management, and Airport Investment Urban Resources Development. It also holds stakes in state-owned enterprises such as Kunming Comprehensive Bonded Zone Development, Operation and Management Co., Ltd., Yunnan Airport International Science and Technology Innovation Park Development Co., Ltd., Kunming Airport Cold Chain Logistics Industry Co., Ltd., and Yunnan Dianzhong Urban Construction Investment and Development Co., Ltd.
In accordance with the development layout of Yunnan Dianzhong New Area, which is "one year for foundation, three years for results, five years for great leaps," the company actively serves and integrates into the development strategy of Dianzhong New Area. It is mainly responsible for land development and consolidation in the Airport Economic Zone, construction of supporting municipal infrastructure, construction of projects such as expressways, and the development and operation of franchise rights for parking lots, transportation stations, underground space resources, and outdoor advertising within the 26.1 square kilometer area under the jurisdiction of the Airport Economic Zone. It is also responsible for the development, construction, operation, and management of high-tech and cultural creative industry parks and their supporting commercial service facilities such as Dianzhong Airport Industrial Park, Smart Terminal Industrial Park, Airport Smart Park, Modern Plaza, Cultural Plaza, and Comprehensive Bonded Zone Business Center. Additionally, it handles the development, construction, operation, and management of public rental housing, low-rent housing, resettlement housing, and other affordable housing projects and their supporting commercial properties in the area.
