滩坑水电站是浙江省委、省政府提出的“五大百亿”工程中“百亿帮扶致富建设”的一项重要工程，也是一项扶贫工程、民心工程，由浙江浙能北海水力发电有限公司投资建设并负责运营。电站位于浙江省青田县境内的瓯江支流小溪中游河段，距青田县城西门32km，距温州约92km，距丽水市约107 km。电站以发电为主，兼顾防洪及其他综合利用效益，是一座具有多年调节能力的大（Ⅰ）型水电站，是浙江电网*大的统调水电站。
