中冶瑞木新能源科技有限公司是五矿集团、中冶集团在新能源汽车爆发式增长的大机遇下，高瞻远瞩，准确把握机遇，利用自身境内外锂、镍、钴、锰资源优势和高端动力锂电池材料领域的技术研发优势，打造“千亿级新材料产业板块”的主要代表。按照习近平总书记关于建设环渤海地区新型工业化基地的重要指示精神，2017年9月，五矿集团、中冶集团联合国轩高科、比亚迪、曹发展共同投资40余亿元建设中冶新材料项目。项目一期已于2018年12月正式投产，可年产4万吨高镍三元前驱体、20吨高纯氧化钪，一二期合计可生产6万吨高镍三元前驱体、40吨高纯氧化钪。公司下设河北省钪系材料工程研究中心、唐山市高镍三元材料工程技术研究中心，被唐山市授予“新能源电池材料产业研究院”，是目前全国*大的高镍三元前驱体及全球*大的高纯氧化钪研发及生产基地。
