China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as China Chemical Tianchen Company), formerly the Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, was established in 1953 and is one of the earliest chemical survey and design units in New China. It is now affiliated with China National Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and has become an international engineering company integrating five major capabilities: technology R&D, general engineering contracting, industrial operations, international trade, and investment and financing. It has completed more than 3,000 large and medium-sized projects involving technology development, design and construction, and turnkey contracting, covering over 40 countries and regions worldwide, with over 300 projects and professional technologies receiving national and provincial/ministerial awards. It possesses a nationally recognized enterprise technology center, a post-doctoral workstation, and has won more than 20 national and provincial/ministerial science and technology progress awards, holding nearly 600 authorized patents and proprietary technologies. Relying on technological and capital advantages, it initiated industrial investment and operations in 2012 and established an international trading company in 2016, forming a full-chain service capability and business pattern of "research, investment, construction, operation, and sales."
China Chemical Tianchen Company is the first in the survey and design industry to pass ISO9001 quality system certification, one of the first batch to obtain the national Class A comprehensive engineering design qualification, and has been rated as a benchmark enterprise in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission's "Science and Technology Reform Action" five consecutive times. In 2023, it was selected as a specialized demonstration enterprise in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission's initiative.
