CAA Landscape Institute

Founded in 1984, China Academy of Art Landscape Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. holds Class A qualifications in building industry (architectural engineering), landscape engineering design, and interior decoration design issued by the Ministry of Construction, and can undertake corresponding construction project general contracting business and related technical and management services within the scope of the qualification certificate. Relying on the strong academic background and rich academic nourishment of China Academy of Art, and guided by the academic goals of the first environmental art department in China, the institute operates under the overall principle of "relying on the academy, serving society." It leverages the academy's strong talent pool and advantageous discipline clusters, enabling the institute to possess a comprehensive academic vision and research atmosphere that is national, international, and contemporary. After years of effort and development, the research institute has formed 13 branches, 4 centers, and 3 studios. It has over 1,700 design professionals, 122 registered professionals of various types, more than 700 personnel with intermediate or senior professional titles, of whom 27 are professor-level senior engineers. It undertakes nearly 1,200 projects annually. With strong talent and a number of renowned designers who influence industry development, it has built a distinguished design force in the industry. Since its inception, under the care of leaders at various levels of supervisory departments and through its own continuous exploration and efforts, the institute has accumulated substantial technical and creative achievements, and its completed projects have received positive social responses. The enterprise has been successively awarded honors such as "Outstanding Cultural and Creative Enterprise," "Key Enterprise of Cultural and Creative Industry," and "Advanced Enterprise in Annual Economic Development." Numerous excellent projects have emerged, with many works winning international, ministerial, provincial, and municipal grand prizes. In recent years, designers of the institute have repeatedly won international and domestic awards, including the "Pritzker Architecture Prize," "Aladdin Lamp Award," "Outstanding Young Architect of the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China," and "Provincial Survey and Design Master," and are praised in the industry as the "Academy Phenomenon." In the future, the institute will continue to uphold integrity and innovation, remain mindful of its mission, take "five-in-one, integrated design" as its ideological core, and realize the integration and industrial extension of multiple disciplines including planning, architecture, landscape, interior, and public art.
