Dong-E E-Jiao

Dong-E E-Jiao Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dong-E E-Jiao") is an enterprise engaged in the production and operation of E-Jiao (donkey-hide gelatin) and its series of products. It is a member of the big health sector of China Resources Group, mainly engaged in the research and development, production, and sales of E-Jiao and a series of proprietary Chinese medicines, health foods, and food products. It has been recognized as a well-known trademark three times. Its products are sold not only domestically but also to more than 10 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
The company was formerly known as Shandong Dong-E E-Jiao Factory, established in 1952. In 1993, it was restructured from a state-owned enterprise into a joint-stock company. In 1996, it was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In 2005, it joined China Resources (Holdings) Co., Ltd. In May 2015, the company name was changed from "Shandong Dong-E E-Jiao Co., Ltd." to "Dong-E E-Jiao Co., Ltd.". It currently has more than 4,000 employees and total assets of 12.7 billion yuan.
The company has a post-doctoral scientific research workstation and a Taishan Scholar position. It is a high-tech enterprise, an innovative enterprise, and a demonstration enterprise for the industrialization of a comprehensive new drug research and development technology platform. It participates in the formulation of standards for gelatin-based traditional Chinese medicines. It has undertaken more than 40 provincial-level or above projects, and holds more than 300 patents. It is also an inheritor enterprise of intangible cultural heritage, a national base for traditional Chinese medicine culture publicity and education, a national science popularization education base, and one of the first batch of demonstration enterprises for health tourism bases.
