广东省特种设备检测研究院云浮检测院是广东省质量技术监督局直属事业单位，隶属广东省特种设备检测研究院管理，公益二类事业单位，机构任务是承担特种设备法定检验、监督检验、鉴定评审等工作，承担特种设备事故调查处理有关技术性工作，开展特种设备质量、安全科研工作，开展特种设备使用安全风险评估、高耗能特种设备节能监督检测、促进特种设备质量安全提升、行业健康发展等技术性公益工作，开展特种设备行业培训、咨询、委托检验等技术服务工作。现负责云浮市辖区锅炉、压力容器、压力管道、电梯、起重机械、场（厂）内专用机动车辆等特种设备的检验检测工作。
