Guangzhou Energy Testing and Research Institute, established in 1988, is a national legal metrological verification and quality inspection institution directly under the Guangzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation. It is a third-party authoritative laboratory and inspection body accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). With energy substance testing as its core engine, it integrates advantageous fields of metrology, quality inspection, and standardization, developing three major business segments: energy metrology, energy substance testing, and green and low-carbon services. It serves as an energy metrology worker, guardian of green environment, and escort for energy conservation and low-carbon development.

Business Scope Includes:
1. Energy Metrology: Covers metrological testing, verification/calibration, inspection of various measuring instruments related to livelihood metrology, energy metrology, industrial metrology, and legal metrology, as well as the configuration of energy metering equipment in enterprises and inspection of energy measurement management systems, quantitative packaging commodity metrological inspection, inspection of requirements for limiting excessive packaging of commodities, and metrological inspection of other measuring instruments with special regulations.
2. Energy Substance Testing: Encompasses over 200 testing parameters for products such as gasoline, diesel, natural gas, coal, biomass solid and liquid fuels, hydrogen energy, engine oil, brake fluid, and geotechnical materials, providing strong technical support for quality supervision of clean energy and petrochemical products. Chemical energy storage materials and product testing: offering benchmarking testing and one-stop "material-battery" full lifecycle testing and analysis services, including various physicochemical performance tests, electrical performance tests, safety tests, battery assembly, battery disassembly analysis, and formulation and process R&D.
3. Green and Low-Carbon Comprehensive Services: Energy balance testing for energy-consuming units (including electrical balance, thermal balance, and water balance tests), energy efficiency testing for energy-consuming products (equipment), verification of energy savings for energy-saving technology renovation projects, and comprehensive energy-saving and low-carbon technical services (energy audits, energy conservation planning, energy conservation reports for fixed asset investment projects, carbon emission verification, cleaner production audits, green manufacturing system evaluation, etc.).
