烟台只楚药业有限公司成立于1988年，由山东只楚集团与中国医药工业公司合资兴建，1990年投产。公司是以生产原料药为主，以西药制剂、天然药物及生物工程为发展方向的综合型制药企业。2000年3月，由烟台第二制药厂改制为烟台只楚药业有限公司，2005年10月，经烟台市外经贸局批准，成立中外合资企业。公司占地面积10万平方米，建筑面积5.3万平方米，员工1000余名，注册资本7618.62万元，公司现拥有固定资产近3亿元。只楚药业为高新技术企业，并获得外贸自营进出口权。是烟台市骨干企业和主要创汇企业之一。生产厂房按药品生产质量规范设计施工，设备布局合理，工艺技术先进，生产设备优良，检测手段完善，现生产能力为：年产原料药400吨，片剂10亿片，小容量注射剂1亿支，冻干粉针剂500万支。所有车间于2004年6月份前全部通过GMP认证（小容量注射剂、冻干粉针剂2010版GMP车间已建成开始验证）。公司主导产品硫酸庆大霉素的质量指标达到了欧美*新药典标准，产品出口欧、美、东南亚等30多个国家和地区，成为全国*大的硫酸庆大霉素生产出口基地。
