Silex Microsystems Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., hereinafter referred to as "Silex (Beijing)". Established on December 15, 2015, registered address is located in Kechuang Fourteenth Street, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, with a registered capital of RMB 2 billion, and legal representative Yang Yunchun. Silex (Beijing) was jointly funded by Beijing Silex Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Silex Microelectronics") and the National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund Co., Ltd., of which Silex Microelectronics' wholly-owned subsidiary Beijing Silex International Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Silex International") holds 70% equity in Silex (Beijing), and the National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund Co., Ltd. holds 30% equity in Silex (Beijing).
Both Silex (Beijing) and Sweden Silex are subsidiaries of Silex Microelectronics. Silex (Beijing), relying on Sweden Silex as a technology foundation, attracts domestic and foreign industry experts and technical talents, striving to build an internationally advanced MEMS foundry line, transform and industrial penetrate international MEMS technology achievements, provide Chinese MEMS manufacturers with mass-production-proven advanced manufacturing technology and application demonstrations, and promote the transformation of cutting-edge innovative technologies into large-scale, cost-effective Chinese manufacturing capabilities. With the full support of Sweden's mature MEMS expert team, Silex (Beijing)'s core technical team has also gathered a number of industry experts, as well as several senior technical experts from the United States, Singapore, Europe, and Taiwan, China, jointly promoting continuous improvement of the company's technology R&D and process innovation capabilities, achieving the strategic goal of building a domestic R&D team with independent intellectual property rights and mastering MEMS core technologies.
Silex (Beijing) invested RMB 2.597 billion to build the 8-inch MEMS international foundry production line project in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area and officially started mass production in June 2021. The project mainly engages in process development and wafer manufacturing of MEMS chips, and has formed a production capacity of 10,000 wafers per month, while constructing an additional production capacity of 20,000 wafers per month. Meanwhile, Beijing FAB3 has been actively developing independent R&D since Q4 2020, continuously accumulating independent and controllable MEMS underlying and various application process technologies, achieving high-yield manufacturing of MEMS devices such as silicon microphones, e-cigarette switches, BAW filters, inertial sensors, LiDAR scanning mirrors on the local production line (with yields exceeding 99% for some products). Silicon microphones and e-cigarette switches have entered mass production; BAW filters are in small-batch trial production; accelerometers, gas, scanning mirrors, microfluidics, pressure, micro-speakers, silicon photonics, lithography lens components, and other MEMS devices are actively progressing from process development to verification, trial production, and mass production stages.
