公司于1985年承担广东省科委八五“星火计划”，项目实现正温度系数热敏电阻材料（英文简称PTC）的国产化产业而组建，作为国内较早生产PTC材料的专业厂家，公司于1991年被轻工业部选定为“节能型家电”的龙头企业，1995年起被连续命名为广东省“高新技术产业”二十多年来，公司一直致力于高效节能的电热元器件的开发和生产，其中PTC元件生产投料量现居世界*，年产销售过亿片，各种PTC发热器年产销量也超千万组，研发生产的新型电器元器件包括用于美容器、电热水壶和淋足盆液体加温保温及保健产品之类的LKII系列，以及有于空气加热的PTC翅片电风加热器系列和运用新型厚膜技术生产的金属、陶瓷、玻璃及云母类等系列，所有产品均通过UL、SEMKO和CQC等产品质量安全认证，并拥有20金项专利技术。公司长期聘请管理咨询公司和各类专家蹲点进行创新活动，目前与上硅所、景德外伤陶瓷学院、陕西科技大学、电子科，广工大等积极开展产学研合作，主要集中对热能新材料、新产品和机械化、自动化生产课进行开发和研发。
