Jiangxi Smart City Construction Planning and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Company) was established in August 2017 as a limited liability company with a joint investment of 10 million yuan by four enterprises: Shanghai Urban Construction Design and Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., Nanchang Urban Planning and Design Research Institute, Nanchang Urban Construction Investment and Development Co., Ltd., and Nanchang Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd. It is a comprehensive design consulting and research unit mainly engaged in urban infrastructure planning, consulting, design, and general contracting.
Shanghai Urban Construction Design and Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1963. It is a comprehensive design consulting and research unit mainly engaged in survey, design, and general contracting of infrastructure construction. It has qualifications including National Engineering Design Comprehensive Grade A, National Engineering Survey Comprehensive Grade A, and Engineering Consulting Grade A, providing full-industry and whole-process services for engineering construction.
Nanchang Urban Planning and Design Research Institute was founded in 1964. In 1997, with the approval of the municipal government, it was additionally named "Nanchang Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute" and "Nanchang Surveying and Mapping Research Institute". It is a comprehensive survey, design, and research unit with six Grade A qualifications issued by the Ministry of Construction and the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, including urban planning formulation, municipal public design, building engineering design, landscape architecture, surveying and mapping, and engineering consulting, as well as a Class I institution for construction drawing design review and a Grade C qualification for engineering supervision.
Nanchang Urban Construction Investment Group was approved by Nanchang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission in May 2010 and registered with Nanchang Administration for Industry and Commerce. Its parent company, Nanchang Urban Construction Investment and Development Co., Ltd., is a wholly state-owned enterprise established in July 2002 with funding from the Nanchang Municipal Government upon approval by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government. Nanchang Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd. is a wholly state-owned enterprise affiliated with Nanchang Urban Investment Group, with a registered capital of 200 million yuan. At present, the Group possesses multiple industry professional qualifications, including Municipal Public Works Construction General Contracting Grade I, Building Construction General Contracting Grade I, Landscape Greening Grade II, Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Installation Engineering Professional Contracting Grade II, and Building Decoration Engineering Professional Contracting Grade II, and has cross-disciplinary construction contracting capabilities.
The Company's business is mainly distributed in provincial capitals and prefecture-level cities such as Nanchang, Pingxiang, Xinyu, and Yichun. Its business scope focuses on urban planning, engineering design, engineering consulting, etc. Projects undertaken include the design of Nanchang Chaoyang Bridge, Hongdu Elevated Expressway, World Bank loaned Poyang Lake Basin Treatment, and the road network design of Rule Lake New City in Ganjiang New Area.
