In 2009, it was elected as the chairman (director) unit of the China Trust Industry Association, and was re-elected in 2012.
CITIC Group was founded in 1979 by Mr. Rong Yiren, former Vice President of China, and CITIC Trust is a systemically important member enterprise under CITIC Group. The company's registered capital is RMB 10 billion (including USD 23 million in foreign exchange), with shareholders being CITIC China Holdings Limited and CITIC Xingye Investment Group Co., Ltd.
