Hunan Qitai Sensor Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in March 2006. It is a private modern manufacturing enterprise engaged in pan-integrated circuit (characteristic integrated circuit) processes, focusing on MEMS technology and products, with particular emphasis on non-semiconductor substrate processes and technologies. Through more than a decade of unremitting efforts, Qitai Sensor has overcome key processes and technologies for heterogeneous membranes and was the first to apply them to the production of metal-substrate pressure-sensitive thin-film chips, enabling large-scale factory industrialization. This filled the gap in China's factory-scale production lines and laid a solid foundation for the localization of pressure sensing in high-end application fields. The new-generation metal-substrate pressure-sensitive MEMS chip project implemented by Qitai Sensor is a key project of the National Development and Reform Commission, a key project of the Hunan Provincial Government, a major project of Changsha City, and a key project of Liuyang City. Since construction officially began in April 2016, the project has received attention and support from leaders at all levels. The "Qitai Sensor IoT Industrial Park" project has a total investment of nearly 1 billion yuan and is being built in two phases. The first phase has an investment of 220 million yuan, mainly to build a production line for non-semiconductor substrate MEMS pressure sensor core pressure-sensitive chips. The high-end products produced are urgently needed by China's aviation, special machinery, and other industries, and will fill a gap in China. The second phase will establish a SiC-based MEMS pressure-sensitive chip production line and a sensor packaging line. The founder of Qitai Sensor is Professor Wang Guoqiu. Professor Wang Guoqiu was formerly an associate professor at the University of Science and Technology of China and is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at Hunan Normal University. He is one of China's earlier developers of "China chips," has won first and second prizes for science and technology progress at the national level, and has led four major integrated circuit projects. The Hunan Provincial Government once awarded him a first-class merit. The entrepreneurial team is mainly composed of Ph.D.s and master's degree holders, bringing together outstanding talents in this professional field in China. The Qitai Sensor factory covers an area of 100 mu. The first-phase clean workshop is 7,000 square meters.
