Dangdang

Dangdang () is a global comprehensive Chinese online shopping mall, jointly invested and established by Kewen Company, a famous domestic publishing institution, Tiger Fund from the United States, IDG Group from the United States, Cambridge Group from Luxembourg, and Asian Venture Capital Fund (formerly Softbank China Venture Capital Fund).
In November 1999, Dangdang () was officially launched. Dangdang's online sales include dozens of major categories such as books, audio and video, beauty, home furnishing, mother and baby, clothing, and 3C digital products, with over 1 million products, including nearly 600,000 book titles and nearly 500,000 general merchandise items in stock. Dangdang's registered users are spread across 32 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government nationwide, with tens of thousands of people browsing and shopping on Dangdang every day.
On December 8, 2010, US time, Dangdang was officially listed on the New York Stock Exchange, becoming China's first B2C online mall listed in the United States based entirely on online business. Since the roadshow stage, Dangdang has been favored by a large number of funds and stock investors due to its broad development prospects. On the listing day, the stock price rose by 86%, and with a high P/E ratio of 103 times and an IPO financing amount of 313 million US dollars, it set two historical records: the highest P/E ratio for Chinese companies listed overseas and the highest financing amount for high-tech companies in the Asia-Pacific region in 2010.
