2006年，世界第五大轴承公司-日本NTN株式会社在日本长野的滚珠丝杠工厂整体搬迁至上海，与上海莱必泰数控机床股份有限公司合资成立了上海莱恩精密机床附件有限公司，并于2008年底建成投产，开始生产精密滚珠丝杠产品。
莱恩传承了NTN公司20多年来对滚珠丝杠的设计、制造以及品质管理的丰富经验，并根据市场变化，不断研究新技术开发新产品。
莱恩高负荷滚珠丝杠系列产品已获得了日本，中国以及世界上许多其他知名企业的认可，另外，在电动注塑机、数控机床及SCARA机械手行业成为知名品牌。
2016年6月苏州汇川技术股份有限公司投资并控股上海莱恩公司，莱恩在滚珠丝杠技术的优势再依托汇川的研发能力和市场资源将进一步提升自身的竞争力。
