Shenzhen Longhua District Central Hospital

Shenzhen Longhua District Central Hospital was founded in 1952 and is located in Longhua District, the geographical center of Shenzhen. It is a public comprehensive Grade 3A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and healthcare. It is a non-directly affiliated hospital of Guangdong Medical University and a medical technology collaboration unit of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University in Shanghai. It has been successively rated as a national "Demonstration Hospital for Improving Medical Services," a "Guangdong Provincial Demonstration Hospital for Health Promotion," and a "Shenzhen Green Hospital."
The hospital currently has more than 2,300 employees, including over 60 overseas high-level talents, Shenzhen reserve talents, Longhua District high-level talents, health high-level talents, and Longwu Huazhang talents. It has 11 vice chairpersons and standing committee members of *medical associations and societies, 38 provincial-level chairpersons, vice chairpersons, and standing committee members, 67 municipal-level chairpersons, vice chairpersons, and standing committee members, and 260 committee members at various levels.
With medical quality and safety as the guarantee and the development of key disciplines as the guide, the hospital has 35 clinical departments, 13 medical technology departments, and 30 community health service centers. It currently has 1 municipal-level key discipline, 8 district-level key disciplines, 5 district key discipline construction units, 6 district key laboratories, 1 national demonstration community health center, 3 provincial demonstration community health centers, and has introduced 2 Shenzhen "Three Famous Projects in Medical and Health Care" teams and 6 Longhua District high-level medical teams.
It currently has 141 pieces of equipment valued at over 1 million yuan and 5 pieces valued at over 10 million yuan. It possesses advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment such as a high-end DSA catheterization laboratory, automated pharmacy, fully automated biochemical immunoassay line, Germany Siemens * new superconducting magnetic resonance, MAGNETOM superconducting magnetic resonance, 128-slice flash dual-source CT, Philips large flat-panel angiography X-ray system (DSA), 16-slice whole-body spiral CT, as well as digital X-ray mammography machines, intravascular ultrasound systems, multi-wavelength laser treatment systems, 3D endoscopes, neonatal digital wide-angle fundus imaging systems, high-grade real-time four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic instruments, and ENT surgical navigation systems.
In recent years, scientific research projects have included 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 8 Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, 20 municipal and departmental-level projects, and 150 district-level projects. It has published approximately 200 SCI articles, more than 300 papers in statistical source core journals, and more than 300 monographs, and has obtained nearly 200 authorized patents. Teaching work has shown results, with more than 300 faculty members in the hospital, including about 30 master's and doctoral supervisors.
At present, with the strong support of the Longhua District Committee and District Government, the hospital's reconstruction and expansion project is being accelerated. After expansion, the total building area will be nearly 200,000 square meters, and the number of beds will increase to 1,500. It is planned that the west building will be completed and delivered for use by the end of 2022.
Having weathered seventy years of wind and rain, we continue to forge ahead and compose new chapters.
