Founded in 1996, Foxconn South China Testing Center (Foxconn CMC for short) was established to meet the testing needs in the design, verification, and production of high-tech electronic products. The founding team brought together technology elites and, with strong technical background and pioneering spirit, turned a blank sheet of paper into gold. To date, the South China Testing Center has developed into a laboratory with seven major functions and 22 professional disciplines, covering an area of 66,000 square meters, with more than 4,300 sets of major testing equipment. It has a management and technical team of 1,500 people, creating a large flagship laboratory that provides fast, precise, and accurate testing capabilities with a service network covering the whole country. In 2003, it obtained the initial accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), achieving "one report, globally accepted".
Since its establishment, the company has continuously improved its service items. Rooted in production, it goes deep into the scene, stays close to applications, and cuts in quickly, providing customers with comprehensive testing and failure analysis solutions. It has also ventured into developing testing instruments and developing material processes, and holds multiple patents. The precision testing equipment developed is widely used, highly automated, accurate, with powerful software functions, and is well received by domestic and foreign customers. The material platform independently develops, batch-processes or produces PVD alloy coatings, enamel processes, ECIM metal-plastic bonding processes, surface nano-treatment processes, multifunctional material surface cleaners, and polishing liquids. The processed products have excellent performance, gorgeous appearance, and advanced concepts.
The world-class South China Testing Center is a window and image showing Foxconn Technology Group's technology-first approach. It has been visited by President Jiang Zemin, President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao, Vice Premier Wu Yi, CPPCC Chairman Li Ruihuan, and major leaders of the Guangdong Provincial and Shenzhen Municipal governments at all levels, leaving a deep impression on them.
