中国热带农业科学院南亚热带作物研究所（简称“南亚所”）成立于1954年，隶属中国热带农业科学院，是我国*从事南亚热带作物研究的*公益性科研机构。该所位于广东省湛江市，主要以菠萝、芒果、澳洲坚果等南亚热带果树，以及剑麻和甘蔗等热带纤维和糖能作物为研究对象，开展种质资源与遗传育种、作物栽培、采后贮运与保鲜等基础和应用基础研究。
多年来，该所承担了大量省部级以上项目，取得了众多科技成果，为推动南亚热带农业科技发展和产业升级做出了重要贡献。
