Company Profile (Century-old China Merchants, Central State-owned Enterprise Platform) China Merchants Chongqing Highway Engineering Testing Center Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Merchants Road Testing) was established in 1991 by approval of the Ministry of Transport, then known as the "Ministry of Transport Chongqing Highway Engineering Testing Center." In 2018, it was restructured into a wholly-owned independent legal entity company and is a third-tier subsidiary of China Merchants Group. China Merchants Road Testing holds the Class A comprehensive qualification for highway engineering in the transportation industry, the special qualification for bridges and tunnels, and the special qualification for traffic engineering. It is an institution holding construction engineering quality testing qualifications issued by the Chongqing Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission, has passed the qualification accreditation of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China and the competency accreditation of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, and holds a Class B design qualification for the highway industry (highway) issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
