Huayu Powertrain Components System (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Huayu Power Components") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. Its predecessor was Shanghai Sachs Powertrain Components System Co., Ltd. The company mainly produces clutches, torque converters, and some parts and components, and has developed into one of the most influential enterprises in China for the research, development, and manufacturing of automotive powertrain transmission module components.

The company was founded in 2002, formerly known as Shanghai Sachs Powertrain Components System Co., Ltd., which was jointly established by Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. and ZF (China) Investment Co., Ltd., each holding a 50% stake. By introducing Sachs' technology and capital, it was built on the clutch and torque converter business of the former Shanghai Clutch General Factory. In 2018, due to the strategic development needs of both shareholders, ZF (China) Investment Co., Ltd. transferred its 50% equity in Shanghai Sachs to Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. After the equity transfer was completed, Huayu Powertrain Components System (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was newly established.

The company's headquarters is located at No. 3189 Jihe Road, Huaxin Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, with a registered capital of 14 million US dollars, covering an area of approximately 90,000 square meters, and employing more than 400 staff. It has two production bases: the Shanghai headquarters and the Liuzhou branch. The manufacturing process includes parts processing (stamping, heat treatment, machining), clutch assembly, and torque converter assembly. In addition, the company also has a technical R&D center and a mold manufacturing center. The company has an annual production capacity of 4 million clutch sets and 350,000 torque converter sets. Clutch products are supplied to domestic vehicle and engine manufacturers such as SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC General Motors, SAIC Motor, SAIC GM Wuling, FAW Group, FAW-Volkswagen, Changan Ford, Jiangling Motors, and Dong'an, and are also exported to Mazda in Japan.

The company has been awarded multiple times as "Shanghai Foreign-Invested Advanced Technology Enterprise" and "Shanghai Foreign-Invested Enterprise with Double Excellence" due to its strong independent R&D capabilities and high-quality products and services. It has also received honors such as "Shanghai High-tech Enterprise" and "Leading Enterprise in China's Automotive Clutch Industry" awarded by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

In the future, under the leadership of Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd., the company will closely follow Huayu Automotive's overall development strategy.
