Guangdong Aerospace 706 Information Technology Co., Ltd. is a provincial-level subsidiary established in Guangdong by the 706 Institute of the Second Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC). The 706 Institute of the Second Academy of CASIC, founded in 1957 and affiliated with CASIC, originated from the Second Branch of the Fifth Research Academy of the Ministry. It is a backbone unit for military computer development and production, and a major developer of the first digital computer for the Chinese military.
