新疆医科大学第三附属医院（新疆维吾尔自治区肿瘤医院）成立于1989年；1993年自治区编办批准新疆维吾尔自治区肿瘤防治研究所，院所合一。2004年医院被批准为新疆医科大学第三临床医学院及新疆维吾尔自治区肿瘤防治中心。历经30年的建设，现已成为集医疗、教学、科研和防治为一体的自治区级肿瘤专科医院。医院属于*住院医师规范化培训基地医院（含9个专业基地），拥有国家药物临床试验机构，人社部博士后科研工作站，中国医学科学院（院外）肿瘤免疫与放疗研究重点实验室，新疆肿瘤学重点实验室,国家临床医学（肿瘤学）博士学位授权点，肿瘤学硕士学位授权点，国家临床重点专科（肿瘤科）建设项目单位，1个*临床医学工程研究基地，11个自治区级临床重点专科建设项目，4个自治区级质量控制中心。
