Chongqing Lianghang Metal Materials Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Northwestern Polytechnical University Asset Management Co., Ltd., Chongqing Liangjiang Aerospace Industry Investment Group Co., Ltd., and the expert team in advanced metal materials precision forming technology from the School of Materials Science at Northwestern Polytechnical University. It was founded on May 26, 2020, and is located in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing. The company is mainly engaged in research on forming and processing of high-end titanium alloys and superalloy components for aerospace, nuclear power, shipbuilding, automotive, rail transit and other fields, as well as the development of specialized intelligent equipment for advanced manufacturing technologies. It belongs to the national strategic emerging industries and the national advanced manufacturing industry.
The company currently has more than 30 experts in advanced metal materials, including professors and researchers, and holds more than 20 invention patents in titanium alloy and superalloy forming technologies. It is planning to establish 2 laboratories and 2 provincial/ministerial-level scientific research platforms. The company aims to solve bottlenecks in China's ultra-fine grain and high-temperature titanium alloy precision casting technologies and the current reliance on imports for high-end forming equipment for advanced materials, and to promote and lead the development of China's advanced material processing technologies and specialized forming equipment, represented by titanium alloys and superalloys.
