The first phase of the project built a 4.5th generation Low Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon (LTPS) AMOLED mass production line, which started mass production in November 2014, mainly producing AMOLED display screens for smart wearables. In order to achieve mass production scale, the second phase of the Hehui Optoelectronics project, namely the 6th generation AMOLED production line, started construction in December 2016, with a planned capacity of 30K large substrates per month, of which 15K large substrates per month are already in mass production, and some equipment for the additional 15K large substrates per month capacity has arrived at the workshop. This second phase project has been listed as a major industrial project in Shanghai during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, a major project of Shanghai's strategic emerging industries, and a major construction project of Shanghai from 2016 to 2020, capable of producing high-end AMOLED display screens of various sizes, flexible and rigid, for smart phones, tablets, laptops, and automotive and industrial control applications.
