Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Company Limited is a Sino-foreign joint venture limited liability company established by China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited (Shanghai Petrochemical), Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Gaoqiao Petrochemical), and INEOS, with shareholding ratios of 15%, 20%, 15%, and 50% respectively. The total investment exceeds USD 3 billion.

SECCO operates large-scale chemical facilities with design capacities including 1.09 million tons per year of ethylene cracking, 650,000 tons per year of styrene, 600,000 tons per year of aromatics extraction, 520,000 tons per year of acrylonitrile, 180,000 tons per year of butadiene extraction, 600,000 tons per year of polyethylene, 300,000 tons per year of polystyrene, and 250,000 tons per year of polypropylene.

SECCO utilizes advanced process technologies worldwide to produce ethylene, propylene, polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, polystyrene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, benzene, toluene, and by-products, supplying over 3.2 million tons annually of high-quality petrochemical products in diverse specifications and broad coverage that are in short supply domestically. SECCO has established a comprehensive QA/QC system, provides related after-sales service and technical consultation, and engages in polymer application development.
