Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Huangpi District, Wuhan City

The Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Huangpi District was founded in 1953. After 60 years of development, it has become a comprehensive medical and health care institution integrating clinical medical treatment, maternal and child health care, scientific research and teaching, health education, and information management. It is the health care and family planning technical guidance center for women and children in the entire district, one of the first batch of "Baby-Friendly Hospitals" awarded by the Ministry of Health, and a "Secondary Excellent Maternal and Child Health Hospital" awarded by the Health Department of Hubei Province. It has been honored with titles such as municipal "Quality Management Outstanding Unit" and national "Women's Civilization Post."
Adhering to the policy of "taking health care as the center, with the goal of ensuring reproductive health, combining health care with clinical practice, facing the community, facing the grassroots, and focusing on prevention," the Maternal and Child Health Hospital implements government target tasks—basic public health and major public health services for women and children, while also providing clinical medical services for women and children. Currently, the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Huangpi District covers an area of more than 6,400 square meters, with a building area of 6,100 square meters. It has more than 30 departments including the Department of Women's Health Care, Department of Child Health Care, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Medical Laboratory, and Medical Imaging. Among them, the "Perinatal Health Care Specialty" is a municipal key specialty in maternal and child health care. Its comprehensive capacity ranks among the top district-level maternal and child health institutions in Wuhan.
