Mei Zhuqing, an orthopedics and traumatology expert, former president of Hanyang District Jianqiao Hospital, member of Hanyang District CPPCC, founder of Meizhuqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Clinic.
In his youth, Mei Zhuqing studied under Mr. Li Rongshan, a renowned bone doctor at the former Hankou Yishoutang, and has practiced medicine for over 60 years. Building on Mr. Li Rongshan's bone-setting theories, he continuously explored and summarized, accumulating rich clinical experience. He used small splint closed reduction technique to treat fractures with remarkable results. Addressing the characteristics of bone diseases being difficult to cure, he successfully developed the Shangshi Yixiling (liniment and patch) series of medicines, combined with his self-created "Mei's Five-Step Penetration Therapy," achieving breakthroughs in clinically treating complications in the late stage of fracture healing, bone hyperplasia, lumbar disc herniation, periarthritis of the shoulder, soft tissue injuries, and other conditions, relieving suffering for countless patients. Mei Zhuqing has been included in the "Dictionary of Famous Chinese Doctors."
Mei's Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics and Traumatology Therapy includes five steps: steaming, washing, rubbing, applying, and drinking. Patients first boil the prepared prescription with water, use a towel to cover and direct steam fumigation at the affected area. After the water temperature drops, they wash the affected area with the medicinal water, then apply Mei's orthopedics and traumatology ointment. Patients can completely relieve rheumatism pain in a short time, and joints regain flexibility. Finally, patients drink Meizhuqing Yangyuan Wine to further regulate qi and blood, achieving the effect of treating both symptoms and root causes.
Currently, the clinic is managed by Ms. Mei Zhenzhu, the successor of Mr. Mei Zhuqing. It has departments including Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone-setting, Traditional Chinese Medicine Physiotherapy, X-ray Room, Minor Operating Room, and Outpatient Observation Ward.
