Sichuan Chengfa Aero Science & Technology Co., Ltd. was established by way of promotion, approved by the State Economic and Trade Commission under Document Guo Jing Mao Qi Gai [1999] No. 1248, with Chengdu Engine (Group) Co., Ltd. as the main initiator, jointly with Shenyang Liming Aero-Engine Group Corporation, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China Gas Turbine Research Institute, and Chengdu Aeronautic Vocational and Technical College.
With the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission under the Document Zheng Jian Fa Xing Zi [2001] No. 53, the company issued 50 million RMB ordinary shares to the public through the Shanghai Stock Exchange on November 29, 2001. The company's shares were listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on December 12, 2001.
In April 2017, the company name was changed from Sichuan Chengfa Aero Science & Technology Co., Ltd. to Aecc Aero Science And Technology Co., Ltd., and the English name was changed from Sichuan Chengfa Aero Science & Technology Co., Ltd. to Aecc Aero Science And Technology Co., Ltd.
