2016年，敦煌文旅集团成立敦煌工美文化创意有限公司，搭建专业团队，打造“敦煌文创”品牌。至今，公司研发设计了千余款主题鲜明、独具敦煌特色的系列文创产品，有多彩敦煌、乐舞飞天、文墨玉关等20个主题产品系列。推出敦煌1900咖啡，注册了敦煌文创、敦煌风尚、驼小驼等系列品牌商标，累计获批近200余款产品外观专利。在敦煌、交通枢纽、节点城市等地开设终端店面，在天猫平台开设敦煌文创旗舰店，建立敦煌文创（景德镇）交流中心、敦煌文创（大红袍）交流中心，在宁波成立了敦煌文创少儿研发中心，形成了线下线上一体化的运营体系。
