Novelis Zhenjiang
Novelis Aluminum (Zhenjiang) Co., Ltd., formerly Aier Aluminum (Zhenjiang) Co., Ltd., was established in March 2011, covering a total area of 27 hectares, and commenced operations in April 2013. Since production began, the company has undergone four rounds of capital increases, completing the "Heat Treatment Furnace Upgrade Project" and the "Wing Plate Deep Processing Project." Its main products include aluminum alloy pre-stretched plates for aviation, high-end commercial aluminum alloy plates, and wing plates. The Novelis Zhenjiang plant is one of the five global suppliers of civil aviation aluminum plates that have fully passed aviation certification. Our aeronautical certifications include those from Airbus (Europe), Boeing (USA), Bombardier (Canada), COMAC (China), AVIC, SAC, and XAC, among others. We are also an aluminum processing enterprise that has fully passed the aviation certification of the aforementioned aircraft manufacturers.
On April 14, 2020, Novelis announced the completion of its acquisition of Aier Aluminum, a global supplier of aluminum sheet and plate. This acquisition involved the Zhenjiang plant and 12 other former Aier plants. With the integration of Aier Aluminum's assets and team, Novelis will leverage the complementary strengths in aluminum recycling, melting, rolling, and finishing to better serve the growing Asian aluminum market.
Novelis's purpose is "Together, we make a sustainable world." The Novelis 3x30 vision aims to advance aluminum as the preferred low-carbon circular material for a sustainable world through circular solutions. Our goal is to achieve three ambitious targets by the end of 2030:
1. Push the boundaries of recycled content. Accelerate the circularity rate to achieve an average of 75% recycled content in our products.
2. Win in low carbon. Become the supplier with the lowest carbon footprint aluminum rolled products (FRP), with less than 3 tons of CO2 equivalent per ton of FRP shipped.
3. Drive the future. Continue to lead the industry toward a circular economy through first-mover investments.
