贵州省轻工业科学研究所成立于1958年，现址位于贵阳市沙冲中路58号，是地方综合性开发类科学研究机构，2000年整体转制为科技型企业。现有职工140余人，高级专业技术人员20余人。全所占地面积近17亩，建筑面积11000m2。先后内设机构有发酵、食品、风味化学、造纸、香料、情报、硅酸盐、电子玻璃、设备自动化等专业研究室，挂靠有贵州省食品工业科学研究所、轻工业部贵州白酒检测中心、贵州省饮料酒检测站、贵州省制浆造纸质量检测站、贵州省轻纺工业科技情报中心、中国酿酒信息中心、中国白酒信息中心和贵州省酿酒工程技术开发中心。
