Chongqing Cable TV Network Co., Ltd. was established in April 2001 with the approval of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government. The company was jointly funded by Chongqing Radio and Television Media Group Co., Ltd., CITIC Digital Media (Network) Co., Ltd., and 30 district/county media convergence centers (or cultural, sports, and state-owned assets institutions). On October 12, 2020, China Broadcasting Network Co., Ltd. was established, marking the steady acceleration of the integration of the national cable TV network and the integrated development of 5G broadcasting. In accordance with the requirements of the national cable TV network integration, the company completed the integration work for "one network for the whole city" and "one network for the whole country," officially became a controlled subsidiary of China Broadcasting Network Co., Ltd., and officially changed its name to "China Broadcasting Network Chongqing Co., Ltd." on May 13, 2021, obtaining a new business license.

The company is a cable network operator in Chongqing with cable broadcasting and television transmission qualifications issued by the State Administration of Radio and Television. In addition, it holds qualifications for value-added telecommunications services, Internet access services, general contracting of communication engineering (Level 3), professional contracting of electronic and intelligent engineering (Level 2), and IT Service Management Standards (ITSS) compliance certificates. The company's strategic goal is to transform into a "nationally excellent comprehensive information service provider" through digitalization. Its main business includes the transmission and coverage of broadcasting and television programs and information, the construction and operation of broadcasting and television transmission networks, and the provision of Internet access services, Internet data transmission value-added services, and related value-added telecommunications services based on broadcasting networks, offering pan-information services to governments, industries, households, and individuals. In the new round of technological revolution with 5G+AICDE at its core in the digital economy era, the company is committed to network reconstruction across "cloud, network, terminal, and edge," adhering to the integrated development positioning of "media, communication, and technology."
