About the Company

2003年11月，中央编办批复成立中科院北京基因组研究所。基因组所成立以来，参与完成国际人类基因组计划，独立完成中国超级杂交水稻基因组计划，牵头国家自然科学基金委重大研究计划、中科院中国人群精准医学研究计划等，在肿瘤微进化、表观遗传学、精准医学等领域取得突破性进展。
2019年11月，根据中央编办批复，基因组所加挂国家生物信息中心牌子，主要承担我国生物信息大数据统一汇交、集中存储、安全管理与开放共享，以及前沿交叉研究和转化应用等工作。2020年4月，正式更名为“中国科学院北京基因组研究所（国家生物信息中心）”。
