"Aerospace Star" Military-Civilian Integration Innovation Research Institute

The "Aerospace Star" Military-Civilian Integration Innovation Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "Innovation Institute") is a public institution jointly established by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Launch Vehicle Academy") and the Changsha Municipal Government. It is located in Kaifu District, Changsha City. With the mission of "supporting the military and strengthening the military" and "building a space power," it implements the national development strategies of "innovation-driven development" and "military-civilian integration," and mainly conducts technological innovation, project incubation, and achievement transformation around the needs of cutting-edge technologies in the aerospace field and the development of national strategic emerging industries. The Innovation Institute mainly leverages the Launch Vehicle Academy's multi-disciplinary comprehensive advantages as a "large academy and large institute," and utilizes local government resource aggregation and policy support advantages to focus on incubation acceleration and disruptive technological innovation in high-end technology fields such as near-space vehicles, electronic countermeasures, smart munitions, digital power supplies, and green cleaning. It explores and practices new models of military-civilian integration, jointly building an aerospace industry ecosystem and a new engine for local development.
