Edsbyn Furniture (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Edsbyn Sweden (*). Edsbyn Sweden is one of Europe's excellent furniture brands within public spaces. With deep roots in Sweden’s tradition of fine craftsmanship, Edsbyn has been furnishing Sweden and the world since 1899. It all started with a skilled craftsman and a small carpentry shop deep in the heart of the Hälsingland forests in the small countryside town of Edsbyn. A small furniture maker that would become one of the world’s biggest ski manufacturers.A deeply ingrained respect for the raw material and desire to make use of waste timber gave birth to Edsbyn’s Windsor chair production. It was when the Finnish designer, Illmari Tapiovaara, designed the Fanett Windsor chair in 1953 that our furniture production really started to take off. We sold over five million Fanett chairs, and Edsbyn’s brand recognition as a quality furniture manufacturer grew even stronger.Today, Edsbyn works in close collaboration with leading Scandinavian designers to produce high quality furniture designs for the workplace and public spaces. We develop our products with a clear vision to provide an added value for the human being, while our respect for the materials and sustainability shines through.
