Chongqing Jinsha Motorcycle Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (formerly Chongqing Wangjiang Motorcycle Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) was established in January 2004. It was originally a state-owned holding enterprise of Chongqing Wangjiang Industry Co., Ltd. under China Equipment Group Corporation. On April 23, 2011, it was listed on the Chongqing United Assets and Equity Exchange for share trading and restructuring, transforming into a wholly-owned private limited liability company with a registered capital of 30 million yuan. The company is headquartered in Hechuan High-tech Zone, Chongqing, and has established a three-wheeled motorcycle production base in Yanshi, Henan. Its products are mainly two-wheeled and three-wheeled motorcycles. Relying on the domestic market, it has exported in bulk to more than 30 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, South America, etc.
In order to cultivate new economic growth points and accelerate enterprise transformation and upgrading, the company has invested heavily in technological innovation and product research and development. Up to now, it has obtained 10 invention patents, 15 utility model patents, and 21 appearance patents. It has been recognized by Chongqing Municipality as a "Municipal-level Enterprise Technology Center," a Chongqing "High-tech Enterprise," a Chongqing "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" Enterprise, a Chongqing Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise, and a Chongqing Customs AEO Advanced Certified Enterprise. Its registered trademark "WONJAN" has been rated as a Chongqing Famous Trademark.
To meet production needs and maintain the company's global competitiveness, the company relocated entirely to Hechuan High-tech Zone in December 2019 and put the new factory into operation in January 2020. The new factory has a total building area of 169,532.43 square meters. It has 2 complete vehicle production lines, 2 engine assembly lines, 10 robotic automatic welding production lines, 1 environmentally compliant painting line, and advanced testing equipment and a research and development center. The new factory has a production capacity target of 400,000 motorcycles and 600,000 engines per year.
According to the company's strategic development plan, while adhering to the large domestic market, it actively expands into overseas markets and implements a "dual-wheel drive" strategy. Therefore, on July 17, 2023, Chongqing Wangjiang Motorcycle Manufacturing Co., Ltd. officially changed its name to: Chongqing Jinsha Motorcycle Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
