China Chemical Engineering Seventh Construction Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Qihua Construction") was established in 1964, with its headquarters in Chengdu, Sichuan. It was founded for the construction of China's first imported large-scale chemical fertilizer plant (Lutianhua) and to address the basic needs of clothing and food for the Chinese people. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd., managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. In January 2010, it was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange along with China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. Adhering to the "One Body, Two Wings" development strategy, the company is primarily engaged in general contracting of projects (investment, construction, operation), industry, and international trade, making it a comprehensive international company.

In the field of general contracting of projects, the company has established engineering companies, design institutes, production enterprises, and laboratories in more than 20 overseas institutions, distributed across Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and other regions. It has successively undertaken the construction of China's first large-scale fertilizer plant, the first polyoxymethylene plant, the first polysilicon plant, and others. The total number and production capacity of completed fertilizer plants rank first globally, playing an important role in the growth and expansion of the national basic industry. The company has also undertaken the world's largest ethylene integration project, the world's largest oil refining project, the world's largest fertilizer project, and the world's largest polymer production complex project. In 2023, it successfully signed the world's largest methanol project. It is a pioneer and leader in implementing the "Going Global" strategy, with overseas business accounting for more than 85% for three consecutive years, making significant contributions to the economic development and improvement of people's living standards in countries along the route.

In the industry sector, the company adheres to the strategy of prospering the enterprise through industry, actively laying out national strategic emerging industries and future industries, focusing on green energy driven by frontier technological innovation (green electricity, green hydrogen, green ammonia, green aviation fuel, etc.), high-end chemicals based on resource security (natural gas chemicals, natural gas to electronic-grade carbon black, graphene, hydrotalcite, etc.), and circular economy led by advanced environmental protection technology (zero-waste city construction). It conducts comprehensive cooperation with the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, the Solid Waste Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the State Key Laboratory of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Quzhou Resource Chemical Innovation Research Institute, carrying out patent technology research and development, material processing and production, investment development, and other industrial businesses.

In the field of international trade, the company carries out international trade in crude oil, fertilizers, energy, chemical products, grain, equipment, and other commodities.
