Chongqing Finance and Economics College

Chongqing Finance and Economics College (formerly Rongzhi College of Chongqing Technology and Business University) was established in 2001. In 2020, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was converted into an independent regular undergraduate higher education institution. It is a project construction unit for master's degree authorization in Chongqing. The college is located in Longzhouwan, Banan District, the main urban area of Chongqing, adjacent to China Cloud Education Industrial Park, with convenient transportation. Rail transit can reach major transportation hubs in the main urban area of Chongqing. The college currently has 5 disciplines: Economics, Management, Engineering, Literature, and Arts, with 41 undergraduate majors and more than 15,000 full-time undergraduate students. There are more than 700 full-time teachers, including more than 300 with senior professional titles and more than 50 with doctoral degrees. It has flexibly introduced more than 20 high-level talents at various levels, including recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Distinguished Professors of the Changjiang Scholars Program, recipients of special allowances from the State Council, the first batch of academic and technical leaders in Chongqing, Distinguished Professors of Bayu Scholars, candidates for academic and technical leaders in Chongqing, and Bayu Scholars (Young Scholars). The college has 2 first-class professional construction points, 1 provincial and ministerial-level characteristic discipline and specialty group, 5 provincial and ministerial-level characteristic specialties, and 5 provincial and ministerial-level first-class professional construction projects; it has been approved for 1 Chongqing postdoctoral research workstation, 1 Chongqing key laboratory, 1 industry-specific key laboratory, and 1 provincial and ministerial-level science popularization base. It has established 1 Chongqing university innovation research group and 1 Chongqing university philosophy and social sciences collaborative innovation research cultivation team; it has jointly built 5 industry-specific think tank platforms with large enterprises, public institutions, and industry associations.
