Beijing Enterprises Group

Beijing Enterprises Group Co., Ltd. was established on January 18, 2005. It is a wholly state-owned company formed by the Beijing Municipal Committee and Municipal Government to accelerate the strategic adjustment of state capital in the capital and to strengthen a few key enterprises, through the joint restructuring of Beijing Ventures (Group) Co., Ltd., Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited, and Beijing Gas Group Co., Ltd. It is one of the largest state-owned enterprises in Beijing and serves as the investment and financing platform for capital infrastructure and public utilities planned by the Municipal Committee, Municipal Government, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. Since its establishment, the Group has consistently ranked first among Beijing's municipal state-owned enterprises in total profits and has been selected as one of "China's Top 500 Enterprise Groups" and "China's Top 500 Enterprises."
The main business of Beijing Enterprises Group is the investment, operation, and management of urban infrastructure and public utilities. Its red-chip company, Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited, is the largest overseas-listed enterprise in Beijing (HK0392), holding numerous high-quality enterprises such as Beijing Gas Group, Capital Airport Expressway, Beijing No. 9 Water Plant, and Yanjing Beer. Among them, Beijing Gas Group is the largest urban gas operation enterprise in China, supplying over 96% of Beijing's annual gas consumption; the Capital Airport Expressway, known as the "No. 1 National Gateway Road," is currently the main road connecting Beijing Capital International Airport with downtown Beijing; Beijing No. 9 Water Plant is currently the largest surface water plant in Beijing, with its Phase I project supplying approximately one-fifth of Beijing's tap water.
In future development, Beijing Enterprises Group will follow the business model of "energy integration and service integration," building a business pattern with gas as the core, public utilities as the main business, and multiple strong business segments (gas, heat, water, and roads) that are synergistic and mutually supportive. This will position the Group as a comprehensive urban public utility construction, operation, and service provider in Beijing, making due contributions to the country's social and economic development.
