Beijing Zhong'ai United Dog Industry Club was founded under the initiative of Chen Jinfei, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice president of the Beijing Guangcai Program Promotion Association, with its work focused primarily on job placement and poverty alleviation. This is mainly reflected in: first, seizing opportunities to actively carry out exchanges and cooperation and improve the level of purebred dog breeding, reproduction, training and application; second, vigorously implementing the "dog industry poverty alleviation" strategy and planning to build a number of dog industry bases in impoverished areas of western China, using this new industrial model to drive economic growth in impoverished areas, help farmers in impoverished areas lift themselves out of poverty and become prosperous, and make tangible contributions to the economic development of the old revolutionary base areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas and impoverished areas in western China. In January 2005, Comrade Deping attended a meeting with representatives of more than 200 dog owners from all over the country. After carefully listening to 10 dog owners from Shenyang, Yan'an, Sichuan and other regions recount their firsthand experience of escaping poverty and becoming prosperous through dog breeding, Comrade Deping expressed appreciation for their behavior of becoming prosperous through hard work and dog breeding with their own hands, fully affirmed Mr. Chen Jinfei's practice and achievements in dog industry poverty alleviation, and expressed the hope that dog industry poverty alleviation could achieve more and better poverty alleviation results under the banner of the Guangcai Program. Beijing Zhong'ai United Dog Industry Club thus emerged as the times required. We are an association organization dedicated to inheriting and carrying forward the fine traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, promoting and popularizing the concepts of caring for animals, caring for nature and caring for life, advocating and safeguarding the rights of animals to normal survival and freedom from abuse, establishing and strengthening exchanges with relevant international industry associations, and improving and perfecting the comprehensive environment for the healthy survival of animals, with the purpose of making China's dog industry internationalized, standardized, market-oriented and scientific.
